Mentorship Program
The SMPS Alaska Chapter Mentorship Program is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth and to expand your network. Our aim is to make the mentorship experience enjoyable and effortless. The program focuses on one-on-one mentorship and provides a platform for both experienced and new professional services marketing professionals to connect, learn from each other, and cultivate innovative ideas. How it Works
Applications
Prospective mentees and mentors are required to fill out the application form. If you have any questions, please contact the Education Chair for more information.
Pairing
After receiving the applications, SMPS Alaska will do the Mentor/Mentee matchmaking and connect each pair together.
Mentorship Program
Once pairs are made, each pair meets at their convenience throughout the year. The program typically runs from January-December.
Commitment
Mentors and mentees commit to being paired together for one year.
Eligibility
To Be a Mentor
To become a mentor, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have at 5+ years of A/E/C marketing experience
- Be enthusiastic about sharing your experience and knowledge with others
- Be receptive to learning new ideas and concepts for personal and professional growth
- Be a member in good standing with SMPS Alaska
To Be a Mentee
To become a mentee, ideally, you should have between 0-5 years of experience in the A/E/C industry. However, if you have more than 5 years of experience and are interested in being a mentee, we will do our best to pair you with a mentor. As a mentee, you must be willing to:
- Learn from an experienced A/E/C professional
- Have a strong desire to advance your career in the A/E/C industry
- Be a member in good standing with SMPS Alaska
