    Put your influence into action for more effective business strategies.

    Join SMPS Alaska for a three-day virtual workshop series with JonRobert Tartaglione of Influence 51. Learn how to leverage insights from psychology and behavioral science to be more effective in your business and marketing efforts.

    Each workshop builds upon the last, but there will be enough context included that individual sessions can be attended as a stand-alone workshop.

        1. The Five Principles of Influence - Tuesday, April 13 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
          Learn what the five most important things are in understanding how humans think, judge and decide, which should be considered as you build your "influence strategy" (e.g. marketing messages, branding, communications, etc.). This day is much more about theory – it’s about understanding what makes people tick.
        2. Your Brand, Your Voice, Your Strategy - Thursday, April 15 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
          Now that we know the five principles, learn how you can apply these psychological insights in your strategy. We review effective branding (and re-branding), marketing, competitive landscape analyses (i.e. figuring out where you stand relative to your competitors, and thus distinguishing what you should be emphasizing in your messaging), agenda setting and message framing (among other things).
        3. Influence in Action - Tuesday, April 20 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
          This final session is all about making sure you actually start applying the principles of influence to your own organizations and roles. We will walk you through multiple prompts/exercises where you will have space and time to start developing your own, tailored strategies using the psychology we have reviewed. This way, as opposed to just saying "that was neat!" and then forgetting everything the next day, you actually walk away having already started building your psychologically-informed strategies.

    JonRobert Tartaglione is a psychologist and behavioral scientist who is driven by a single question: "What moves people?" What moves us to alter our attitudes, shift our decisions or change our behavior? As the Founder and CEO of Influence 51, JonRobert helps clients understand how to leverage insights from psychology and behavioral science to build more effective marketing strategies, more impactful branding efforts and more persuasive communication campaigns. 

    JonRobert holds Master's degrees from University College London and the University of Chicago. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge.
