Lisa Schauer, President of PointNorth Consulting, Inc., envisioned a life in politics believing elected office was the primary way to serve her community. She has worked in government, private industry and not-for-profit organizations. A perpetual student, Lisa’s thirst for learning and leadership led her to Washington D.C. where she worked for the Secretary of Interior in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. She returned to the Pacific Northwest as the Director of Governmental Affairs for the Clark County chapter of the Homebuilder’s Association of Washington. Before her departure, her role expanded to include Community Affairs.

Lisa was recruited to join the management team of a regional engineering and construction management firm to launch a business development and marketing program with an emphasis on local government sales. Lisa was asked to join the partnership group where she possessed over 20% ownership, was the first female partner and the first female board director. She also led many of the firm’s largest business development efforts, ranging from $50K to $75M contract.
