SMPS MIXER | Made it through February Celebration!
Ship Creek Water Treatment Plant
Why is Alaskan H2O so tasty? Join us on this AWWU-led project tour of the recently renovated Ship Creek Water Treatment Plant. We will learn about what upgrades the project team collaborated on to increase efficiency in serving the Anchorage area with clean water.
The Ship Creek Water Treatment Plant, originally constructed in 1984, is a conventional filtration plant that is operated as a peaking facility, providing supplemental potable water to the Anchorage area during periods of high demand. The facility also serves as a backup plant to the Eklutna Water Treatment Facility. The recently completed rehabilitation project included a host of process-related and facilities-related upgrades improving its ability to serve the greater Anchorage area.
Details on where to meet will be provided to registrants prior to the event.
Event registration closes on Monday, February 25, 2019. Limited space is available, so register today!!
