The Alaska Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is hosting an annual government contracting conference in Anchorage on March 8, 2017. This year’s conference theme, Connect, Communicate, Profit! explores communication as an essential tool in achieving success in the government marketplace for both the government and for the contractor. The conference presents a day of general sessions, learning labs, networking opportunities, and the popular “Perfect Pitch Competition.” Representatives from federal, state and local agencies will also be participating in a meet-and-greet round robin session. Attendees will find answers to questions such as: How do I make the most of a debriefing? How well does my company use its website to market to the government? What should be communicated between contracting officer and vendor when a problem arises on a project? What’s the legal implications of when communication flow is bad, and, when it’s good?
